{"id":8249,"date":"2026-03-02T14:42:10","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T13:42:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.apiovan.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=8249"},"modified":"2026-07-29T16:48:17","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T14:48:17","slug":"epdm","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.apiovan.com\/it\/epdm\/","title":{"rendered":"EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Caratteristiche Generali<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Le prestazioni dell&#8217;EPDM dipendono fortemente dal sistema di vulcanizzazione (zolfo o perossidi) e dal contenuto di etilene.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Temperatura di lavoro: <\/strong>eccellente, spaziando da -50 \u00b0C a +150 \u00b0C; i sistemi vulcanizzati a perossido permettono di operare stabilmente nella fascia alta del range.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Gamma di durezza:<\/strong> la gamma \u00e8 molto flessibile, variando tipicamente tra 30 e 90 Shore A.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza all&#8217;abrasione: <\/strong>\u00a0\u00e8 considerata buona, sebbene inferiore a quella di SBR o Poliuretano, risultando adeguata per la maggior parte delle applicazioni statiche e semi-dinamiche.<\/p>\n<p>R<strong>esistenza alla trazione<\/strong> si attesta su livelli buoni (8\u201315 MPa),<\/p>\n<p>C<strong>ompression set:<\/strong> \u00e8 uno dei punti di forza del materiale: quando vulcanizzato a perossido, offre performance eccellenti (15\u201325% a 125\u00b0C\/70h), garantendo una tenuta elastica costante nel tempo.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resilienza<\/strong> \u00e8 buona e costante su un ampio spettro di temperature.<\/p>\n<p>R<strong>esistenza dielettrica<\/strong>: \u00a0l&#8217;EPDM vanta un&#8217;elevata resistenza dielettrica che lo rende lo standard industriale per l&#8217;isolamento di cavi a media e alta tensione.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza all\u2019aria e ossigeno: <\/strong>L&#8217;EPDM mostra una resistenza eccellente all&#8217;invecchiamento in aria, anche a temperature elevate (fino a 150 \u00b0C). A differenza della gomma naturale o dell&#8217;NBR, non subisce indurimento superficiale o screpolature dovute all&#8217;ossidazione termica, mantenendo la sua flessibilit\u00e0 originale per periodi estremamente prolungati.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza alla luce (UV) e agenti fotoossidativi: <\/strong>La resistenza ai raggi UV \u00e8 classificata come eccellente. Il materiale non degrada sotto l&#8217;esposizione solare diretta, rendendolo ideale per membrane di copertura (roofing) e profili per finestre. Anche le varianti colorate mantengono una buona stabilit\u00e0 cromatica, sebbene il nero resti la scelta ottimale per la massima protezione fotolitica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza all\u2019ozono: <\/strong>Verso l&#8217;ozono, l&#8217;EPDM \u00e8 considerato virtualmente inerte. Anche a concentrazioni elevate (&gt;100 ppm), dove la gomma naturale fallirebbe in pochi minuti, l&#8217;EPDM non mostra alcun segno di criccatura o degradazione superficiale. Questa propriet\u00e0 lo rende indispensabile per guarnizioni vicino a motori elettrici o in zone geografiche ad alto inquinamento atmosferico.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza ai solventi: <\/strong>La resistenza ai solventi polari come acetone, MEK e alcoli (metanolo, etanolo) \u00e8 eccellente. Al contrario, il materiale ha una resistenza scarsa o nulla verso i solventi non polari (esano, toluene) e i solventi clorurati, che causano un rigonfiamento distruttivo della struttura elastomerica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza al petrolio, carburanti e idrocarburi: <\/strong>In questo ambito, l&#8217;EPDM presenta il suo limite principale: la resistenza a oli minerali, benzine, diesel e oli idraulici minerali \u00e8 assolutamente scarsa. Il contatto con questi fluidi porta a un rigonfiamento superiore al 100% in breve tempo. Tuttavia, l&#8217;EPDM \u00e8 eccellente con i liquidi freni (a base glicolica) e con i fluidi idraulici a base di esteri fosforici (Skydrol), dove gli altri elastomeri solitamente falliscono.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Resistenza all\u2019acqua e altri prodotti chimici: <\/strong>L&#8217;EPDM \u00e8 il materiale d&#8217;elezione per il contatto con l&#8217;acqua e il vapore (fino a 150-180 \u00b0C se vulcanizzato a perossido), superando nettamente l&#8217;NBR. La resistenza ad acidi e basi (sia diluiti che concentrati) \u00e8 da buona a eccellente. Il comportamento \u00e8 ottimo anche con soluzioni saline, detergenti e miscele antigelo (glicoli), rendendolo ideale per i circuiti di raffreddamento automotive.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vuoi
