Silicone coated non-stick belts with fabric support for lamination
In leather lamination and bonding lines, the belt operates in direct contact with films, foils, and adhesives at high temperatures. It is also the component that most often determines the quality of the finished surface and the frequency of machine downtime for cleaning.
A.Piovan has been manufacturing seamless, constant-thickness conveyor belts for over 45 years. Drawing on this experience, the company developed a rubberized endless belt with a silicone coating featuring superior non-stick properties; it is designed specifically for the tanning industry but is also suitable for fabric lamination and other thermal transfer processes.
The main features of our belts are:
- Consistent non-stick performance: the silicone coating prevents foils, films, and adhesive residues from sticking to the belt surface. The belt stays clean longer, requiring less frequent cleaning.
- Mechanical stability superior to silicone-coated felt: the backing consists of a multi-layer endless fabric structure, created using various textile technologies. Compared to traditional silicone-coated felt, it offers greater dimensional stability and superior mechanical performance over time.
- Constant thickness and no seams: the absence of seams eliminates marks or impressions on the leather. Uniform thickness ensures even pressure across the entire working width.
- Thermal resistance: the silicone compound retains its elasticity and release properties at the temperatures typical of hot lamination processes
In the tanning industry, the belt is suitable for leather finishing machinery and processes requiring clean release and uniform pressure:
- lamination and bonding of films and foils onto leather (transfer, foil, metallic effects) [verify specific applications served];
- continuous belt hot-bonding machines;
- other potential machinery: belt presses, ironing machines, etc.
These same characteristics also make it suitable for fabric lamination, the bonding of technical materials, and, more generally, thermal transfer processes where the material must not adhere to the belt.
