Polyurethane-coated wheels for forklifts
Polyurethane wheels are today the reference standard for intensive industrial material handling. The correct balance between friction and smoothness of movement makes polyurethane wheels particularly suitable for environments requiring precise, frequent maneuvers, such as automated warehouses, cold storage rooms, and high-traffic-density production departments.
Abrasion resistance is probably the characteristic that makes polyurethane the preferred choice for intensive applications. The material’s molecular structure gives it exceptional resistance to cutting, tearing, and wear from continuous friction. The result is a significantly longer wheel service life compared to traditional alternatives, with a consequent reduction in replacement frequency, spare part costs, and machine downtime for maintenance.
